The daily norm is at least 50 oz. a day of drinking water. Neither tea nor soda can replace the clear water. Coffee is good in the morning, but should be limited to one or two cups per day. And we’re not talking about Starbucks’ Trenta. Coffee in the evening induces insomnia. Another cause of sleeping problems is alcohol. It blocks your body’s ability to rest effectively in the sleep. So, a couple of beers or glasses of wine are not going to help you with sleeplessness. Experts recommend avoiding alcohol for about an hour before going to bed.
  • Be careful about food consumption. Overeating will make you a lazy cat that only wants to nap. However, you do need energy from food. Your organism needs those calories to function correctly. I bet you were thinking, “How am I going to complete my coursework on an empty stomach?” That is the point. You can’t! However, be wise about what you eat and how much you eat. The purpose is to fuel your body so that you can work.
  • What parents told us when we were kids is true. Breakfast is the main meal of the day. Without it, your brain struggles hard to function. Plus, the less you eat in the morning, the more food your body is going to ask for in the evening, and that is harmful to your sleep.
  • The perfect way to control your waking time and help to stay fit is to eat the last meal 14 hours before breakfast. That will help you to awake quickly and get accustomed to having morning meals. What you eat is vital, too. It is your decision, but try to eat less junk food and more fresh vegetables and fruit.
